I made my first batch of MMF yesterday. I had a lot of trouble today rolling it out to a thin layer to cut with my cutters. It was really tough to work with. I was rolling it out between two sheets of parchment. At times it stuck to the parchment and in other places it didn't.

Is MMF more difficult to roll out that RBC? Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks
Shauna

I love MMF. It is really easy to work with if you add some shortening to the mix when making it and use shortening to roll it out.

Also, zap it in the Microwave for a few seconds to soften it up. That makes it really plyable and easy to work with.

Thanks Stephanie,

I did zap it in the microwave for the second color and that seemed to help. I also used crisco when mixing in the color.

I appreciate your suggestions!

I made my first MMF yesterday and rolled it out today. It seemed easy to work with. I zapped it in the microwave for 5-10 seconds. I put cornstarch on the parchment paper, made sure I flipped it often and added more cornstarch as needed. Now if I can just get those dog-gone cookies made.
