This morning, I went out my fron door to take the trash out and my 27 month old accidentally locked me out of the house.

My husband is out of town, so I had to go across the street and have a locksmith come.

Also called 911 and they sent the sheriff's dept., but they said they would have to break a window.

I guess I'll hide some spare keys in the backyard!

It will be a good story to tell my son about one day.

By the way, I had on no makeup, and a tank top with no bra. Fortunately, I had a jacket on over my tank top.

Oh you poor thing! what an awful way to start the day. I bet your son will never do that again, huh?! icon_smile.gif A spare set of keys is a good idea- it's saved us from calling the locksmith on more than one occasion.

Been there. But, have always been lucky enough to have a window to crawl into. We are living in an old house now and the kids keep pushing a button on the old lock that doesn't allow you to open the door, so I'm pretty paranoid. It is actually a skeleton looking key from the 40's or 50's.

I take my keys with me just in case now (even just when stepping out for a moment) because this has happened to me before too.

had this happen when we forget to put the spare key back outside! So much for planning.

We have been able to get in through a window most of the time. One time my BF had to lift of the window air conditioner and I crawled in underneath, oh it had to be quite a site to see.

There is something about little kids closing those doors. Mine has done it but luckily there has been some one else inside.
