I just need to get this out of my system. I have my first paid cake today (it's for my employers) a three teired madhatter cake. I had to take a taxi into work ( I work in Toronto) and one of the cakes shifted. Okay.... no problem I brought an emergency kit. But it looks like a huge wrinkle that runs all the way around the cake. How am I going to fix this? I am so scared that this is not going to look good. I have heartburn... I know take deep breaths.... everything is going to be fine.

Does anyone else freak out like this?

Can you pipe some kind of design over the wrinkle?? Is it covered in fondant or buttercream?

Here's a bump - hopefully someone can help youicon_smile.gif

Oh darling...I know your pain, had it happen to me too! The best part about it is I bet your boss will not even notice!!!!!! I mean it! Of course we do because we know what a perfect cake should look like. He or she is probably use to store bought cakes....full of imperfections!
My only advice is do not draw attention to it. I bet they will not notice.

Most imperfections aren't even noticed by non cake people. I'm sure it looks just fine, don't forget to take pics icon_smile.gif
