Hello everyone! My husband and I have been married for 3 years. This year, I decided to make a replica of our anniversary tier of our actual wedding cake. I was unhappy with my wedding cake because you could see paper towel imprints everywhere and all of the dots had points, and there were leaves in with the roses....yes, I know I'm very picky! But, I wasn't decorating cakes then, so........anyway....I've finally got it done; and I'd like some opinions on it.

Please keep in mind that I apparently put too much milk in my bc...it kept wanting to "slide". And, I had a hard time getting my royal icing just right...first it was too thin, then too thick, so.........this is what I finally came up with. I'm just glad it's done and I know my DH will love it!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys, you're the best!!!!
LL

I think this is really sweet! Did you make the original wedding cake yourself or did someone else do it? Are your roses buttercream or royal? They look pretty darn good to me!

I didn't make the original cake...I wanted to post a pic of it, but for some reason my scanner isn't working.

The roses are royal icing.

Thanks for your compliments!!!!!!!

I swear, I've never spent so much time on such a small cake before...this is only a 6".

Well...my DH loved it!!!! When he got home tonight, he said... I'm glad you put our topper on there!

We have 2 boys, 4 & 5....yes we married after they were born...anyway; after we put them to bed tonight, we cut the cake again....just like we did 3 years ago AND even fed each other a bite! But, this time, I smeared the cake all over his face; oh yeah, he did my face too!! I told him I had regretted NOT doing that 3 years ago! LOL!

You guys are great! Thanks for all of the compliments!!!!!!!!!!!!!
