could you do a court jester on the front some how? Is it supposed to have an April fool's joke on it?

I always think of April Fool's as things not as they appear. How about a cake that looks like a main course meal? Hamburgers or such.

I agree w/ Junebuggey!
I saw turkey dinner thingy using candies, melt chocolate as gravy red sprinkles as cranberries (this was on a cupcake but you could do a bigger scale)

Some people think this is just too gross but it is funny and really fools the eye...might fool the tummy too though icon_razz.gif It's a kitty litter cake icon_surprised.gif

Another funny idea I've seen is a meatloaf cake. It's actual meatloaf decorated with mashed potatoes. If I did this to my friends or family, they'd never trust one my cakes again icon_wink.gificon_biggrin.gif

How about making a "dummy" cake. Frost a square piece of syrofoam (make it look like a real cake) then have a plain cake on the side that they can "hide" just plainly decorated? Decorate the "dummy" cake like normal so he wouldn't know, but have the real one for backup??? Just an idea. Good luck
I know all about the april fool's thing, IT's my BIRTHDAY on that day yee haw!!!!!!!!

I just remember something I saw on TV. Someone had iced a water balloon to look like a cake and when the guest of honor went to cut it icon_eek.gif I'm going to do that one of these days but not at my house icon_lol.gif

On the same topic of dummy cakes, I read about a proposal where a man had requested an upside down hatbox be decorated like a birthday cake. There it sat in the middle of the table until dinner was over. After they sang Happy Birthday, he lifted the top from the "cake" and there sat the diamond engagement ring to surprise the birthday girl. How sweet is that?
