That was so touching. Made me teary-eyed. I love those kind of stories, especially with all of the horrible stories we always hear from the warfront.

Someone posted that on another forum last week, I was in tears. Sent it to everyone on my email list who could relate. That sweet little teary voice saying "I missed you too Daddy" just did me in.

As soon as I saw the little boys face I started crying, and juts about totally lost it when he told his daddy that he missed him too. My little sister just joined the Air Force and is moving to Vegas saturday, so these miitary things really get me!

oh my gosh! My husband called me from work on Monday to get me to pull this video up from home. HE was all choked up as he was telling me about it! As soon as I saw that little precious boy's face, I got the biggest lump in my throat. So incredibly sweet! So heartbreaking that he missed his dad so much like that. And how mature of him to be able to express his feelings in such raw fashion.
I can't remember the last time I saw a video as moving as this one.

Yep, I'm crying like a baby over here. Our military do give up a lot when deployed and so do their families. God Bless Our Troops!

OMG, I´m in tears!!! DH is in the Navy and I know that feeling! On his last deployment (Aug 05 - Mar 06) DS was too young to really understand what was happening but he sure was happy to see him!
Thanks for sharing this cute video!!!!

Okay, I have to share. My husband was gone for 13 months and needless to say, it was a difficult year. Baby girl (6 yrs) had written her school letter to Santa saying that all she wanted was Daddy home for Christmas. Her letter explained that it had been such a very long time and how much she missed her father. She went to visit Santa with school and asked for him to bring Daddy home. Almost every kid in the class asked Santa to bring her daddy home. Well, as it turned out... we went for a family visit with Santa and he magically had her letter and pulled it out and read it. Santa was a retired Marine so he read it with tears streaming down his face. He asked all three kids to close their eyes and make a wish - and their father came from around the corner. It was one of those perfect moments where the kids weren't quite able to believe their eyes and just looked in disbelief before squealing and leaving Santa for their dad. My oldest was in on it, but the other two were completely surprised.

Lana, that's awesome! One of those events that will stay in your memory for sure. Being a former Marine myself, these kinds of stories get me every time.

Thanks everyone, it was a perfect moment no doubt. They had no idea that he was going to be there. He had a friend bring him from Charleston straight to the mall where he hid until the kids arrived for the picture.

Just want to say thanks to all of you, and those of you with family members who are in the military. Your sacrifice helps make our country a safer place, and I am very appreciative.
Sincerely,
Kathy
