I´m planning on making a two teired cake. The bottom will be a vanilla cake and the top a dummy cake. Any advice? I´m afraid the weight of the dummy cake might affect the real one. I guess I still have to put the rods on the real cake right?

Thanks!

I would still suggest doweling the bottom layer as it is real cake. A dummy is definately lighter thatn real cake but still heavy enough once decorated to break cake underneath.
