I found the recipe for candy clay yesterday, using a bag of candy melts and light caro syrup. Can anyone who's used this recipe for molding figures let me know how they like it? I've done only a little molding so far and I've been looking for something easy to learn with. I have a Curious George bday cake coming up I would like to use this recipe for. Thanks in advance!!

I've used it and enjoyed working with it. It's easy to work with. After you mix it up and let it rest wrapped in plastic wrap, there'll be a residue around the clay, DO NOT re-incorporate the residue back into the dough. I like working with it better than fondant because it doesn't dry out as fast.

Since you are doing a Curious George cake, Did you see the one that was uploaded the other day with George made from rice crispy treats? It was great you should check it out!

I use it all the time, most my customers like the candy clay or rolled BC as far as taste goes...

The sleepover cake in my pics, I am pretty sure I did the girls with candy clay, and the cars for the race car, and the angel on the cake with the rainbow, so it works well

the candy clay is awesome...it's very easy to work with and the regular chocolate clay is sooooooo good, it tastes like tootsie rolls!!!!!
