I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find and answer...
I'm about to do my first FBCT. How far in advance can I do this and it still look good on the cake?

You can freeze it for quite a while. Not sure what the max time would be but I would say at least a few weeks and it will be fine.

I did one about 3 days in advance and it came off perfect! Not exactly how far, though. I've seen that some people have done them a week in advance. Has anyone tried to leave one in on purpose to see how long it would look good? I probably would advise against doing it much more than a week, but I haven't had that much experience with it. I like to do mine as fresh as possible.

I made one for my daughter once with leftover icing and put it in the freezer. Forgot about it... icon_rolleyes.gif went on vacation, came back and it was still good.

A few weeks had gone by so...
