Hello all...I am needing your help PLEASE.

I need to produce a lamb for a communion cake. I don't have a 3D lamb pan so I will have to make it from putting pieces of cake together. My first thought was to use a long Wilton bread pan to shape the body. But for the head I wasn't sure how to create that with the nose or facial features. Could someone please give me some ideas without using rice krispies to form the head?

TIA,
Kim

This wouldn't look exactly like the lamb pan, but I just saw this morning on FamilyFun.com a lamp and bunny cake that might help. Their stuff is always easy and usually turns out cute. Hope this helps.

I have done a lamb before using just Buttercream icing. I found the instructions in a 1993 Wilton Yearbook. Youy can see my lamb in the Easter Lamb cake. I was not to pleased with my lamb, but i was still a beginner.
Here are the instructions.

Using tip 12, hold bag at 90 degree angle, and using heavy pressure, pipe a line of icing for body; add head making a round ball of icing. Cover body and top and sides of head with tip 16 reverse shells. Add tip 79 ears and tip 3 feet. Add tip 3 dot eyes.

You can also print a picture of a lamb, and make it out of Colorflow.
