I want to start making cookie baskets. I was reading the tutorial and she suggested using silacone mat. Mine are not big enough that I feel real comfortable. But I bought a Wilton mat for fondant. This is glossy and rolled fondant great without sticking, (did put a little crisco on it though). Can I use this without flouring? Thanks for the help. Shana

I'm not sure, so here's a bump.

Not sure, but you can use two sheets of parchment and roll between those. Works like a charm thumbs_up.gif

I have the same mat as you, but I have never use it to roll out cookie dough. I do as tayesmama said, I roll my dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper and it does work like a charm and there is no mess with flour and I don't have to flour my rolling pin, it is so much better for me.

Hope this helps.

Me too. But I use wax paper instead of parchment. Works great and there is so much less to clean up!

Whenever I use wax paper it wrinkles. How do you avoid it?

I've used wax paper and parchment paper. I like parchment paper better because it doesn't get as greasy from the butter in the dough like wax paper does, and parchment paper doesn't wrinkle up like the wax paper does.
