I am wanting to buy these and would like to know how you like them? I looked at Hobby Lobby tonight and they don't carry them. They do come in the Course III kit though. I will check with Michael's because these look something I would really like to have.

I have never done a cake with pillars and this looks so much easier.

thinking about it more, Im not sure that IS what your talking about, I just assumed since mine have hidden pillars, and the pearls could be thought of as rings. *shrugs* the only reason I brought it up is because they are on sale at my walmart

I have them and used them twice in wedding cakes. They worked fine, but they are a little more wobbly than your standard pillars. I like the look of not having the separator plate on top of the cake.

What I am looking for Hobby Lobby didn't even have a sticker on the wall. The lady who helped me said they didn't carry them, so she didn't feel like the other Hobby Lobby stores would either.

The pillars that come in the course 3 kit are not sold seperately at Michaels , only in the kit. You can order them directly from wilton.

Thank you, cupcakes, for letting me know that Michael's doesn't carry the Baker's Best Pillars. You saved me a long distance phone call today. I am so disappointed that these aren't sold separately. When I did a Google last night I found an online site that carries the 7" and 9", but I am not familiar with this company.

Has anyone ordered from Shop Bakers Nook before?

There is a cake decorating store I am going to call later today and see if they happen to carry the pillars before I order online. I hate to buy the Class III Kit, but I may end up doing that with a 40% off coupon.

It might work out better if you buy the kit. It comes with the plate, cake sparkles, tips, a fondant tool....escpecially if you use a coupon.

I have the push-in pillars that you're talking about. I love them! I, too, don't like the look of a seperator plate on the top of a cake and haven't used anything other than the push in ones. I have the white (with rings) in 7" and 9", the clear (without rings) in 7"and 9" and the Grecian (without rings) in 5". You can usually find them in cake decorating shops (NOT HL, Michaels, ACMoore, etc...). Good luck finding them!
