Hi all!
I'm trying to get ahead on some of my Easter baking with such a busy week in general, and I'm making a Jell-o poke cake for our Maundy Thursday pot luck supper at church... can I freeze that? Will it turn to mush? I thought I would get it baked (quarter sheet cake) and the jell-o poured over it... Let it cool well and then dump it out and freeze. I'm going to be icing it BC with a cross draped design on top. I could put on the BC while still partially frozen tomorrow night and take to church on Thurs AM for their fridge... Anyone got any thoughts/comments???
I just got my SIL's Banana Split Cake made and froze it. I hope it turns out and the bananas don't spoil it when defrosting. I just don't have enough hours in this week. I added to my already full list trying to bake meals for my very very good friend,... her husbands father was killed Sunday when their house burnt to the ground and he didn't make it out. She's now got 4 extra mouths to feed along with the grief surrounding them, adding to their already house of 5 so she's busier than I and I'm hoping this helps if even just a bit...
Sorry didn't mean to bla bla bla on... let me know on freezing the cake. I hope I can and the jell-o won't make the cake mushie. Thanks all!!!
