If this is a dumb question then please forgive me as I am a newbie. Does a BC icing recipe that calls for milk and butter have to be refridgerated? I made a cake last night and used a BC that had those ingredients in it and my husband loved it. Personally for me it was still too sweet but I was just wondering about this. Thanks all!

If it's the Wilton recipe that calls for 1 lb. of sugar, butter, crisco, and a few tbsp. of milk, no it does not need to be refrigerated. The sugar acts as a preservative.

Thank you so much for your reply. That is the one I used. I do tend to refridgerate things when they don't actually need refridgeration. I guess I would rather be safe than sorry.
