What do you do to avoid fingerprints on your fondant figures? I have only worked with MMF, so maybe Wilton fondant won't leave fingerprints. I use gloves to color my fondant but they would never work for me to mold with.

Thanks!

I use Wilton fondant for figures and don't have this problem. I think MMF may be too soft. I figure, no one's going to eat the figures, so who cares if they taste bad. icon_lol.gif

Never done it but have read that you have to use gloves to prevent fingerprints. If you're already using gloves to mix the color, try it once and see how it works. I think the key to using gloves is to get the right size so the finger tips aren't bending back on you...one size does not fit all.

Never had the fingerprint issue with my MMF-- are you making it too soft? Try adding a little more PS, or some gumtex...

When it's soft, you'll be more likely to end up with fingerprints. I agree with darlene_000, but I don't use MMF. However, I've had the issue with regular fondant that I've had to add more coloring too, and I've added more PS, and solved the problem.

this reminded me of watching Wallace and Gromit...I thought it was cool to see finger prints from claymation!
