In the step-by-step instructions, it says to let the calla lilies dry on a tree former? I can't tell from the picture exactly what that is. Can anyone help me. Thanks....

Which instructions are you referring to? The ones in the "Articles" section of CC?

When I made my Calla Lilies, I dried the stamens in a floral block (green, used to keep stems of flowers in place and well hydrated) and then once I added the petal, I used a flower former (Wilton's) to get the nice curve into the petal where the tip is. Sometimes propping up the inside with cotton balls so it doesn't collapse (depends on the thickness of the gumpaste, I suppose, I didn't roll mine out as thin as I would have liked). I've got pictures in my gallery if you want to see them.

HTH!

If you're referring to the Wilton Calla lily, the tree former is a 1/2 circle of paper folded together to look like a cone, or 'tree' as it were. Think of a snowcone holder upside down (point up). Does that help you any?
