Does anyone ever make a chocolate version of NFSC? How would I go about that? I know I'd be adding cocoa powder but how much and how do I change the flour content?

I have no idea but would also like to know!
NFSC is No Fail Sugar Cookies. You can find the recipe on the recipe section here at CC.

Here is the link for the chocolate rolled nfsc recipe. I haven't tried it yet but it is on my list. If you get to them before I do, please let me know what you think.

Ok you guys. I made the chocolate rolled cookies last night and am finishing them this morning and it's a great recipe. Holds its shape and bakes well after chilled. I tasted one cookie w/out the icing and wasn't sure I'd like it but once I put icing on it, trust me....it's delicious. The perfect balance of sweetness. Thanks!!

I will, I promise to put up a pic. I just finished decorating the cookies. I had the chocolate ones to do plus I baked half a batch of regular NSFC. Now I'm piping the twinkie-type (recipe in cupcakes) filling into my cupcakes. I baked coconut ones and butterscotch ones. If any of you have never piped that filling in a cupcake....you're missing out on something totally sinful! icon_biggrin.gif

The chocolate rollout cookies really don't taste very good at all until they're iced, then I think they have a good balance. The NFSC gets REALLY sweet after you put all that sugary icing on there. I would, however, really like to find a chocolate rollout cookie that tastes good on its own and can be used nicely for cookie bouquets. I'll have to keep looking.

The cupcakes, etc. that I tool the my daughter's class were a huge hit today! I must topped the cupcakes w/ the bunny design that's pretty common. But the kids love them.

Here's the recipe for the cupcake filling.

Here's the cookie bouquet. The chocolate rollout cookies are the ones w/ the ducks on them, although they look like birds. icon_lol.gif

I use the coffee but also add some hazelnut liqueur and they are very good - I use Toba Garrett's light chocolate recipe in her Creative Cookies book.
