Hi- I've been requested a single layer sheet cake to feed 65-- Normally, I would say a 12x18 (my half sheet) serves about 50 as a double layer. Single I would say a few less.

My next jump up is a full size which seems too many. This is for the adults at a kids' party. Kids will have cupcakes. What would you do if you were me? Thanks!!

Why do they only want a single layer? If that is what they want though, I would say two 11x15's side by side should feed that many people.

Reaaly strage/dumb question....
If half isn't enough; a full is too much, could you do the half sheet & then a quarter sheet?

Thanks for your replies--good suggestions...

I just got her e-mail and havent' talked to her in person. I may try to sway her to go with a double layer half--and maybe a small tier raised in the middle like a 8" layer??

I don't know. I have to think this through--is there a size pan that people use that falls somewhere in between the 12x18 & full sheet?
