Need Idea For Easter Sheetcake

I was asked to do an Easter cake (sheetcake) for our church Easter brunch does anyone have any ideas? I just finished up some cakes and my brain is tired....lol Thanks icon_smile.gif

I think a cross embellished with flowers would be beautiful! You could either make a cross to go on the sheetcake, or you could make a larger cross as the cake itself if you wanted.

You could cover both in BC or fondant, whichever you prefer. Flowers are a symbol of Spring and also new life. It is a tradition some places at Easter to put flowers on crosses to signify Christ being raised from the dead, so there's "life" on the cross!!

oh that does sound beautiful. also if you had a lily nail (or another way to make a lily) putting some Easter lilies in with some other spring time flowers would be cool. ( i like lilies) icon_smile.gif

How about you make the sides look like a basket. Make some handles. In the center put a bunch of spring flowers. It could be both cake and centerpiece.
