I got this recipe off another website...

2 cups shortening (I use high ratio)
1 cup butter
2 lbs powdered sugar
2 tsp clear vanilla (I use butter-vanilla)

Hot water added one tsp. at a time until you get the consistency you want.

This recipe is nice and creamy and not too sweet.. I love the way it tastes because of the butter. It does crust slightly so you can use a paper towel to smooth a cake if you let it set up awhile. I prefer to use a bench scraper and angled to smooth...I get nice sharp edges with it.

Enjoy!! icon_biggrin.gif
