Hi,

I am looking for a recipe for Strawberry Cream Cheese filling. The regular strawberry filling, but I want something a little heavier and stable better the layers. I was thinking about mixing the regular strawberry filling with cream cheese and fresh cut strawberries, but I am not sure how it would taste or work. Thanks!

Hi, I found this recipe for a Strawberry Cream Cheese Pie and bet it would work well for cake filling.

STRAWBERRY CREAM CHEESE PIE

1 (10 oz.) pkg. strawberries, halved, in syrup, thawed
2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. Cool Whip, thawed
1 prepared chocolate flavor crumb crust (6 oz.)
Drain strawberries, reserving 1/4 cup liquid. Beat cream cheese, reserved liquid, thawed strawberries, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spoon into crust. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Garnish with strawberry halves and kiwi slices. Makes 6 to 8 servings

Thanks. Is this stable enough to fill a cake? Also does it have to stay refrigerated?

I would think it would hold up pretty well. And yes, it does have to be kept refrigorated.
