Hi,
Hoping someone out there with a little bit more imagination than me can help!! I have been asked to do a cake for a joint party for 3 little kids turning 3. Cake needs to serve about 80 and it has been left up to me to decide the details. The kids are 2 boys and a girl and their individual favourite things are Buzz Lightyear, Firemen and Ballerinas.
I am just stuck!
Only thought I had was a 12 x 18 sheet with another cake designed as a toy box on top and the 3 toys. I really dont want to make the figures so if I do that, they will be real.
Any other ideas?? Any help much appreciated, although most of you people are far, far superior to me in the decorating stakes so please bear that in mind! ![]()
Thanks
Maybe you can make one cake with 3 different scenes with each of the characters. Each could be a different level with what they would like on it, like stairs! Then you could do a large flat cake just adding or subtracting a little extra in each space.
GOOD LUCK DECIDING! ![]()
I like Doug's idea! But, I bet you only want to make 1 cake. So, how about the big toy box, but instead of making fondant figures, can you do chocolate transfers of a ballerina, firetruck, and buzz? Those wouldn't be bad to do.
I like to look at this website

The butterflies and sun are chocolate transfers.
Goodluck
