We have had a death in the family and I am baking for 200 people. Most of my recipies come from Paula Deens book. My Question is can iIbake the cake now and decorate Tuesday as I need to do as much as possible now. Thanks. Also do i just wrap the layers and put in fridge
bake today and freeze. i tried this for the 1st time last week & the cake was still so moist...I wrapped it well and then put in a freezer bag. sorry for the loss

First, my condolances to you and your families loss.
Secondly, by all means go ahead and bake today and if you need to freeze, wrap in a couple of layers of saran wrap then again in foil. Some people use bags.

Thank you everyone for the support. I spent all day yesterday baking bar cookies and making chocolate truffles. Which is not easy since my graandkids live with me while their dad is in Iraq. Today I will do cakes and tomorrow pies, I think.
