I'm a newbie & was wondering what is the easiest way to place an image on a cake? I've done BCT and thought it was pretty simple. What about CT? Or is there another method I should try. I'm not artistic, so freehand design is out of the question.

I just gave this same answer to the lady looking for help with drawing a honda goldwing. I would give "color flow" a try. You can use a drawing you have or get it from "Clip Art" off your computer. Put a piece of wax paper over the item you want to copy and just trace the drawing with stiff color flow and then fill it in with thinned down color flow. The technique is very simple and you don't have to know how to draw or anything. Copying is all you have to do really. I love it! thumbs_up.gif It dries very hard and you just place it on your cake.

Another thing that works well is cookie cutters. Use them to imprint a design on your cake, then fill it in with frosting. This is not a very good cake, but it shows what I mean. The cars & trucks on the side were imprinted with one of those cookie stamps and I just filled it in w/frosting then smoothed it out with a small brush.

CT are so easy, and so easy to work with and place on the cake (as long as you make them thick enough , they are very sturdy) All the animals on this cake are CT

I am learning so much through everyone though, so I feel it is worth it. (even if my hubub never gets to use the computer unless I'm sleeping)
