hi everyone...i have to make a cake for a baby girl and the mother wants flowers on the top tier...having never made any kind of flowers before, i'd like to ask which ones should i go for...bc, RI, or fondant? where can i find tutorials for fondant roses and also, most of the flowers i've seen r made w/ gumpaste, since i ndont have any available in this part of the world, is it possible to make equally good MMF roses w/out the gumpaste? thanks for all ur help.

Actually, that thread is for practically everything
except b/c.

You might want to start with tootsie rolls or starburst as they're cheap to buy - then you can concentrate on making the flowers not the fondant, gumpaste, etc.
