I just uploaded two cakes I was really proud of icon_smile.gif. For some reason, they did not get posted to the front page, and were just sort of bumped off, so no one got a chance to see them. icon_sad.gif So I am reposting them in the forum. (it seems like the front page does not refresh like it used to).

Anyway, here they are!
The poodle cake took inspiration from a line of figurines called, "For Giving Souls". It was a trinket of a poodle jumping out of cake. So I decided to make a "Poodle jumping out of a cake cake", if that makes any sense.

The other one was for a little girl who loves circles. Mom wanted Easter colors...so here is my answer!

Oh My Gosh! What darling cakes... love the pastel colors and the fact that you didn't over-do it - they are perfectly balanced. If they taste as good as they look (which I'm sure they do icon_smile.gif ) you're gonna be overwhelmed with orders. Way to go! thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

Thank-you! I kept restraining myself from overdecorating both of them. It is hard: I kept saying, "Maybe I should add a bow here or a flower there" but then I wouldn't let myself. I wanted them to look uncluttered.

Thanks.....I don't know why it doesn't refresh, but for some reason, it skips some cakes while others stay up for 20 minutes. It happened to me last night on the poodle cake, again on the 1st birthday cake, and in the past on the stuffed animals cakes.
You are only allowed to post the cakes once in the galleries, so if they are not shown, you're outta luck.
I am not afraid to admit that I appreciate and really depend on the positive feedback from the cake central members, and it gives me ideas as to what would be popular with customers, etc. We all work so hard on our cakes, and the positive comments mean so much. When the cakes get skipped over, it is disappointing.
Anyway, thank-you for the comments on these two baby cakes!

Adorable! glad you gave us a chance to see them! Love the dots and stripes together, sooo cute and nicely done.

I know there are so many cakes I miss posted here everyday!
