OMG I am so nervous! I am making my first wedding cake for delivery today. The tiers are all made and they look great...now I am making myself sick over stacking them. I have to drive the tiers 1 hour away so I am stacking them on site. Please any advice would be appreciated. I do not want my next post to be in cake disasters!

No need to stress! Deep breath!

Give yourself way more time than you think you need (including travel time).

Have your dowels (or whatever you are using) already placed in the bottom tier. That way you aren't measuring and cutting when you get there.

Go ahead an mark the area where the top tier will sit before you go.

The less you have to do when you get there the better. Don't get stressed if there are people watching while you finish up. they always do!

Bring some powdered sugar so you can sprinkle the bottom tier and that way the top tier won't stick when they separate the two for serving.

Bring extra icing, your tips, paper towels, etc so you have what you need to fix, correct anything that you might want to.

Thank you for tha advice i will bring the powdered sugar I don't have that in my bag. The cakes are 6,10,14. I had my hubby cut the wooden dowels. I didn't even think of people watching me! Oh well...it is what it is! Thank you again...we leave in 1 hour!

You did a fabulous job on that cake. The sad thing is that I always stress over delivering cake and double stress on wedding and grooms cakes. It's just part of it. You want it to be perfect, so it's natural to stress a little. But like I said, you did a wonderful Job!!!
