There was a really great hen cake that Martha Stewart had in her April 2005 issue of her Living magazine. I can't find it online...only this link:

There isn't a link for the "hen cake" but the picture you see is of her little chick cake.
Anyway I might have the issue so let me know if you're interested and I might be able to dredge it up. I believe it was a cake you bake and cut into pieces and put together a certain way and then pipe the feathers, etc. It was really cool looking.

Okay check out this link - let me know if it doesn't work out. I couldn't find the cake online but I did find this one from this site based on the same cake. She even explains how she did it! Good luck!
Hi I did one for a chinese customer. Used the football pan, the american one, 2 small egg muffins for the head, 1 small egg for each wing and one small egg for the tail. one small ball muffin for the neck. Shaved some cake off the breast, then stuck the small ball into front with totthpick, stuck two eggs togehther with bc and inserted them into the neck again with tothpicks. Added wings and Tail then crumbcoated everything and proceeded to feather the whole thing with different colours and the leaftip. Hope that helps

I just saw it this morning as I was browsing my old yearbooks - use the turkey pan - the pattern should be in the 1984 Pattern book, unless someone has one they can post?! I would like it too since I have the turkey pan!!
