I have only been doing the wilton recipe. i am ready for something with better flavor. It needs to be crusting since i use the melvira method to roll my buttercream smooth, never use fondant anymore. I checked the recipe files here but there are only 5..... anyone???

Have you tried the "hi-ratio shortening" in the Wilton recipe? Doesn't give that after-taste.
Also try more flavoring and less water to the Wilton one. I understand that popcorn salt cuts sweetness in icings. Haven't tried that one - just read it on here!

Don't you love this site!!!!!!! So many wonderful suggestions and so little time!! icon_lol.gif
