Hi there,
The other day i was decorating a cake with mmf and it got a hole while placing it on top of the cake. I tried to patch it up by puting a smal piece of mmf on top of the hole and tried to make it even, but without any luck.
How can i fix ( patch up) hole's in the mmf that might accure during decorating? Does any one has a tip for me?

greetings naomi

hehe, not sure if this is really helping... but I place a decoration over the mishap =) shhh don't tell. The fireworks cake in my photos for example. I had a hard time getting the pleats out of the side so I just added decoration to cover it up.

Ok, but otherwise I haven't figured out how to fix any tears or holes easily. sorry I couldn't help more.

Maybe you could make it less noticeable by removing the torn area with a cutter of some type...and then replacing the damaged piece with a new undamaged piece cut with the same cutter. I've read of people smoothing seams with water and a soft brush, but haven't tried it myself. Might work if the swapped pieces were identical.

Thanks for your reply.
I usually use marzipan and that one you can patch up with water or egg white, so i thought that may be there would be someting similar for mmf.
