1 stick softened butter
1/2 cup crisco
4 cups powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons milk (for stiff consistency)
1 Teaspoon of vanilla or flavor of your choice
Makes about 3 cups, add more milk to get desired consistency
I love IMBC! When I want something cheaper and easier to make, I use an all-butter powdered sugar buttercream. It tastes good, though it isn't very easy to smooth.
I want to try Toba Garrett's French Vanilla buttercream recipe. There was a thread about it recently and it sounds very yummy.
