My sister is pregnant & we're shopping for clothing. She (like so many others) doesn't want to spend a fortune on maternity clothing. I've seen something before that is an extra wide sort of elastic thingy. You wear your regular jeans unbuttoned and this elastic thing over the top part. It makes them (sort of) look & be comfy like maternity jeans but you don't have to purchase new jeans.

Does anyone know what this is called? And yes, it does exist.

There used to be an advertisement running here for something like this, but unfortunately I don't remember the name of it, and it has been quite a while since I've seen it. Maybe if you sent a PM to Jackie she might be able to tell you what it was called and where to get it now.

Maybe another member will remember what it was called, it looked like a great item. Janice

After thinking for a few minutes, I think these were called "Belly Bands" and were in a lot of different colors, hope you can find them. Janice

Janice- I AM LOVING YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!!! Thank you! I did a Google search for the belly bands (which turned out to be a uriniary incontinance aid for male dogs...LOL) but I stumbled upon Bella Bands which are exactly what I was looking for! In case anyone is interested, here is the link http://www.pregnancystore.com/bella_band.htm

Hi Peachez, glad I could help! I thought the name was a little odd, but the idea was a good one! Hope your sister has a great pregnancy!

I think I'd still send Jackie a PM and see who the advertiser was on CC, they may be in the USA. Janice

Peachez, I only saw the Bella Dona site that was in the UK, the Bella Bands is much better! I believe they were the ones who advertised here on CC.

Wow, somebody had a great idea, and a moneymaker too! One of those, "now why didn't I think of that?" things.

Best wishes to your sister, and you too, Aunt Peachez! Janice
