I am "bravely" or "dumbly" trying make a make a stacked cake for a shower...I want to cover both layers in mmf...I understand I should stick a dowel down through both cakes. i was hoping to have nothing on top....so how do I cover that?
I have tried to smooth out mistakes in mmf before, but I always end up tearing it or something.
I have thought of doing this..let me know if you think it would work.
Put hole in 6" cake board for top cake. Cut dowel to length..I could measure carefully. Then Put center dowel in bottom cake...then place top cake down over the dowel. So now it is stablized, but no hole. But would that really work??
Help is greatly appreciated and desperately needed! ![]()
Thank you so much! I will try and see how it goes....hopefully I will have pictures to post next week after the shower..... ![]()
