Why Do I Only See Mistakes!!!

I didn't even accept money for this cake because all I could see were smudges and crackes.
My DD says I am crazy but I do not enjoy showing my cakes to anyone because all I see are mistakes.
Sigh...
i agree...i am the same way....i only see mistakes too but no one else does. trust me....my family tells me when its good or bad. my dad doesnt like to see crumbs in the icing but its not all the time i can get them out.
but dont let that stop you from charging....if anything give a discount but cover your ingredients.
I think it looks good. I also believe that a lot of times, we're the only ones who see every little imperfection.
YES! You should have gotten paid for this cake! It is beautiful! And I think I might do something like that one day! I love how it is alternating the colors!
I agree with everyone else...we are are own worst critics! The thing is though...People don't see our mistakes cause they don't do what we do! It is what you are making and giving them in return they are so grateful for! Make sure that you are paid for your cakes in the future, you are very talented! 
Your cake is stunning!! You should have gotten paid for the cake or like everyone else said gotten the cost of your ingerdients.
I too have a tendency to pick up on all my mistakes. It is because we are always our own worst critics!

From what I can tell the cake looks great! I'm the same though....Ionly make cakes for family & relatives. Someone from my husbands work asked me once to make a cake for them but I was too scared that I would mess up so I declined....I'm not confident enough to sell my cakes.
