I would love to have ideas on making a 3D castle cake. I have a picture of one it almost looks like a candy coating was used and then made to look like bricks. I have an order for one.

That is a beautiful cake! The only template I found in the galleries for a castle cake is this one...

This cake is covered in fondant and a brick impression mat was used to get the design. Not knowing who made the cake, I can't tell you more than that.

I am going to be making the top part of the castle this week to add to another cake. So I guess I will use some of your hints and wing the rest. It ought to be FUN!
