Does anyone have any tips for this? I've had nothing but trouble with this cake and I just want to get it over with.

I think I heard someone say the "rolled" the fondant around a rolling pin , and it made it easier to handle to get it on the cake....... I wish I could help more, but I have never tried it myself.....

I did that once, but it wasn't easy. I bought a big sheet of plastic, put ctisco on it, and rolled it to fit. I had ti have my husband help me. We turned it over and layed it over the cake and peeled the plastic off. It looked pretty good in the end.

UGGG! Had to do this with my son's birthday cake and yikes, it was hard to do. I'm getting a sheet of plastic next time so I can just flip out on top of the cake. After the hassle I had with the first cake trying the pin method I'm sticking with the plastic flip-off method now.

I wish you luck, I know what a pain it is to do.

I bet one of those really big silicon fondant rollers that ae bigger than a rolling pin would be helpful too

I'vev got one of those big fondant rollers, easier than a rolling pin, and it still seems harder to manuver over a larger cake than the plastic technique would. Good luck, I know this frustration all too well icon_sad.gif
