What exactly is a FBCT? I know what it stands for but what actually is it? I tried to search but it returned 3500 results.

How do you make one?

TIA

Lauren

I DEFINETLY recomment FBCT, I've done ATLEAST one a week since I've learned how to do it. And each time I do it, I get better at it.

I just made my first 3 fbct tonight. It was a lot of fun and hopefully they will come out good. They're Spiderman, Dr Octopus and Cinderella all for birthday cakes. It took a lot of time...about 4 hours total. If I can get my DD to help me, I'll post pictures tomorrow.

I can't wait to try this. I keep thinking of different things I want to try it on. I might try to do a delorean from Back to the Future because my kids are obsessed with that movie lately...We've had it for years but they're suddenly into it. Anyway, we have a shirt with a simple sketch of the car and I'm thinking to copy it thumbs_up.gif

Thanks for the link

I think I will give this a go. It doesn't look as difficult as I was thinking it was. I need to do a 1st Cav for my grandfather. They have a get toghether every year.

It has to be a full sheet cake. Can I just bake 2 halfs and put them together? I was also thinking about doing it MMF. This will be a first for me all around. Never done a sheet cake or MMF or FBCT.

Is it hard to do MMF on a full sheet cake if you have never done it.

Here is a picutre of the 1st cav patch that I need to put on the cake.

Ladybug..that patch looks very familiar...probably because my DH is First Calv. Any ways... this isnt a difficult image to do. What if you did a Cupcake cake in the shape of the patch, frost it yellow, then just do a FBCT for the Horse head and the slash. If it has to be a full sheet cake I don't see why you couldn't do half and half then just put frosting in between to "glue" then together. I would frost in Buttercream then do the FBCT.

Frozen Butter Cream Transfers are fantastic!!!! You can take any pic and make it into a cake....I did one of a girl hiking for a friend of my husbands from work and I did one of my brother standing next to his FJ-40 Landcruiser...he LOVED it!!!!!
