Does anyone know or did anyone try to substitute something else for the lemon juice; water and flavoring, maybe? I would like to try it, but I don't want a lemon-flavored icing. Just wondering. I will be doing it this weekend anyway.

Okay, I just tried this recipe....I found out I had to make an adjustment though.

First, I used blue bonnet instead of butter cause that's all I had in the frig...& second I didn't use all 6 cups of powdered sugar.

It actually turned out really good...its in the frig right now. You have to really make sure that you don't overboil it though.

I tried rolling it out & it smoothed very nice....I'm going to let it cool & then try to roll it out again.
