I got my new baby last night, a KA professional 600 and I'm really excited but I'm not the only one. My 4 year old has spent as much time as I have today caressing it and examining everything. 
He's been telling me all day how pretty it is and what each beater is for and looking at the book that comes with. I can't wait until my husband gets home and I can tell him how smart his son is.

I hug mine every now and then and pat it on it's top. My kids say mommy is crazy, but I cought my daughter talking to it the other day when we were using it saying "Come on Bessie, mix that batter."
My oldest thinks that we're crazy but he doesn't know what's good.

I love this. My mother used to name her cars, and the one she had for half my childhood was named Bessie. I think I remember a Bonnie, too. She would encourage them to keep running long enough to get us home! Sometimes I find myself talking to my cars like that!
