I am using the 3D duck pan in a couple weeks for the first time. Is the cake mix extender recipe good for use with this? I am using all buttercream to decorate, but want to make sure it holds up. Also, and tips on baking with this pan? I have not used any of the 3D pans yet.

the cake tends to not bake up high enough in the beak and head area, so try to put a little extra batter in. then let it cool completely before you stand it up right, so it has a chance to firm up.

Use the Wilton's Cake Release to grease your pans...really good at releasing the cakes thumbs_up.gif

Good luck.

I've never had a problem w/ it - used it several times. Fill up as much as you can w/ batter, w/out spilling over.
