TRY MY SUPER MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE... IN THE RECIPE SECTION. IT WORKS FOR YELLOW OR ANY OTHER CAKE AND IS VERY VERY MOIST.

1 Duncan Hines cake mix
1 french vanilla instant pudding mix
1 c oil
1 c milk or water
4 eggs

Bake at 325 instead of 350.

Have you ever tried adding simple syrup?
Place equal parts sugar and water into micro safe container or saucepan. Bring to boil. Let cool. You can add flavoring like liqueurs after it has cooled. Use a pastry brush and dab onto cake layers. Let set 15-30 minutes before crumb coating. Or you can use squeeze bottle to apply to cake (about 1/4 cup per layer).

Try adding one box of pudding mix and one more egg than it calls for on any Duncah Hines mix. I would try vanilla or French vanilla for yellow cake.

I add one box of pudding mix, substitute 1 single serve apple sauce for the oil, and add about 1/4 cup of sour cream or yogurt. Then bake that baby like normal. I learned the sour cream/yogurt thingy here on cc.
