How about making a figure of the stork holding the blanky and a little baby 'Dumbo' sat next to it like the scene from the disney movie? That would be super cute!

i would do something similar to a baby shower cake, but without stating things like "its a boy!" and such. something whimsical with baby blocks or something with baby stuff, like bottle, pacifier, shoes, etc. the stork would be a cute idea too!

"high concept" design possibility.

a baby hatching from a heart shaped egg

-------------------

heart shaped cake cut apart into three piece jigsaw puzzle.... two large outer pieces, one labeled mom, one labeled dad...and smaller inner piece labeled w/ the baby's name.

A cake we had for one of our 3 adoptions was the stick person house, mommy, daddy, child, like a child would draw, colorful, cute and happy and said "Our Forever Family" on it.
