For those of you that have made this cake, does this cake rise high or does it stay low?

I usually use dh mix (unless you want scratch) and use the cake mix extender to that and have great resultsicon_smile.gif

What is a cake mix extender. Is this the enhanced recipe? Thanks

Cake mix extender is adding other ingredients to the box mix to get more batter and taste more like scratch mix. This is the one I use.

1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sour cream
1/3 teaspoon salt
1 egg

Just mix your box mix as directed on the back of the box and then add the above ingredientsicon_smile.gif

I have made that cake (Waldorf Astoria) and it rises fairly high, and I have been told it is very very delicious and that those who have made it say they havent had any better.... but of course you have to be your own judge.
