Any Ideas On How To Make These Cupcakes????
Decorating By traci Updated 23 Mar 2006 , 8:02am by Darra
I put about a tablespoon and dipped the cupcakes and put them in the refrigerator. I am going to do the chocolate when I get back from picking up my son.
Any advice on how much shortning I should add to a bag of dark cocoa candy melts???
Thanks! ![]()
I will let you know how they turned out! Will the shortning add a little shine to the chocolate???
The cupcakes are done! I will post pictures tommorrow.
Thanks to all that helped.
I used the candy melts and shortning and found that it worked pretty well. I am not sure if I added the right amount...but they looked close to the picture. I hope the customer likes them! ![]()
Regarding the comment about the liquid chocolate fondant....you can heat up any fondant in a sauce pan over med low heat, stir it, and you will get a glaze like consistency. That is why you would use for things like petit fours, or like the person said...donuts!
Those look great! Probably taste better than the H&D ones too!
You totally should have charged more, but if you're like me, you probably can't!
Your cupcakes look awesome...well done!! I just picked up Creative Cupcakes by Vi Whittington & Autumn Carpenter from www.countrykitchensa.com and the book has every kind of cupcake icing and filling recipes plus amazing designs. I can't wait to give it a try!
Thanks for all the nice compliments! And all the suggestions on what to try! I will start making some more on Sunday. They want 2 trays for Monday and 2 for Tuesday.
Just wondering...would it be possible to use chocolate chips with the shortning to have the same effect??? I ran out of chocolate candy melts...but have a ton of chocolate chips! How much shortning should be added to a bag of chocolate chips??? ![]()
