I have searched everywhere and can't find how many servings are in the sports ball pan. I looked on the info sheet that came with the pan and on the instructions on this site. I am getting very tired and decided to give up and ask. Thanks to anyone who can help a tired decorator!!

I'd like to know, too!!! I would think 10-12 as it is not very big.

Hi There,
When you say "holiday house", do you mean the Stand Up House pan? If so, then Wilton says it serves 12 (I have it and agree).
As far as the sports ball pan, I am still looking in the book.
by the way, the wilton yearbooks tell serves of each cake, you just have to find one that has no other cake tins involved to get an accurate answer. Hope this helps. Will keep reading for sports ball.

icon_cry.gif Sorry, couldn't find wilton's recommendation on servings for sports ball! I would also say it is 12 serves as they seem to say that about all of theirs. I have the soccerball pan and they say 12 serves, also the cruiser (car), the standup house and the winnie the pooh and all are 12 serves.

In my yearbook it says 12 for either the 'flat' or 3D sports ball pans - for those who need more servings, I always recommend that my customers combine the pans with a sheet cake (with the Wilton pan set on top) - hope that helps!

Thanks everyone! 10-12 servings is what I needed out of the 3D sportsball pan.

I was given the 1982 Holiday house kit (still in its origional package). It is a 3 D house, I am not sure how it differs from the stand up house. I am going to attempt to make 3 of them butted up front to back to make a 3D dog house.

I'm glad you asked this. I need to make a soccer ball next weekend and need 10 servings. I was wondering how many the pan serves too! Thanks for asking this!

As a general rule, Wilton seems to say that all it's 1-cakemix shaped pans will serve 12.

Glad you found what you needed!

I've used the sports ball pan before with cake mix and there was some left over batter. So maybe 10 servings? The 3 times I've used it it's been in conjunction with other cakes so I never really knew how much it served.

Speaking of the sports ball pan. I have it but I haven't used it yet and I was wondering. How do you cut it?
Thanks,

It's not that big so you just cut wedges. If the whole thing will be eaten then you could cut it in half and put the flat side down then cut from there.
