What can I say? Your English is still better than my Spanish. icon_wink.gif

When I used silver luster dust, the 1st coat was dull, I waited for it to dry then added another coat, it looked better after the 2nd coat.

Sorry I don't have more help for you.

You can try "dry brushing" it on. Just dip your dry brush into the luster dust and dust it onto the cookie after the royal icing has dried. I don't know if it'll get your cookie as shiny as you want - but it should work pretty well.

Sorry ladies, I just figured she speaks Spanish so went ahead and shared my experience in Spanish... Basically what I said is that maybe it is not her but her luster dust, I´m guessing she does not live in the US. When I use luster dust, either dry or with vodka I always get the shine she is going after. HTH

So here we go in English (I feel it is kind of rude if I don´t translate since we are in the English section of the forum).
She is telling me that her luster dust gives her a pencil like finish, just dull black, so I told her that there is definitely something wrong with her luster dust, which she buys in El Salvador. I adviced her to get some her at CC since they do the international shipping and CC is also the cheapest place to get it. thumbs_up.gif

The baker of the cookie she posted said she used PEARL DUST, that is NOT the same as luster dust.

She tried both, luster dust and pearl dust (aka super pearl) neither one of them was giving her that shine/sparkle both should have. icon_wink.gif
