I'm enjoying watching the baby shower cakes come in. Many of them feature those cute little baby shoes that look like they're made out of felt. I'm not talking about the ones made out of piped stars...I know how to make those. But, I don't know how to make the smooth ones and wondered if there are patterns floating around somewhere, or if the decorators are just winging it with those. They're adorable!

Someone did a post (I'll try and find it) a while ago, making bootees out of marshmallows.

I ordered those cutters from Sugarcraft and the booite is pretty easty to pur together. You cut them out of fondant and use egg white with a paintbrush as glue.
1= the sole
2= toe and front sides of bootie
3= heel and sides (note the shoelace holes)

Apply 2 to 1 first let "glue" dry and apply 3 last. Leave the flaps a bit spread open to allow for the laces

Allow to dry for several hours or overnight and then use thin satin cord or ribbon for the laces.
