I wanted to invest in some metal flower cutters for GP, but there are some many that I am overwhelmed!!!
For those of you who do GP flowers quite often, what ones do you seem to make the most of? Thanks so much everyone!
I would definitely say the rose in number one. The orchid and lily seem to be very popular.
Here is a list of the flowers I have orders for this year.
Roses
calla lilies
daises
Gerber daisies
stephanotis
Dogwood
and orchids are becoming more popular as a wedding flower, but there are several varieties of them. Cattleya, moth, and cymbidium are the 3 most popular orchids that I make.
For leaves, the basics are rose leaf and plain leaf cutters. Depending on your style, you may like ivy too.
I don't normally suggest plastic cutters, I think you get a much cleaner cut with metal. But, because Roses are the most requested flower by students and by brides, have you tried Nic Lodge's all in one or easy rose? It is a plastic cutter and comes in a nice medium size or a super large one that is a bit too big for me. They are the fastest way I have found to make gumpaste roses and they make a very pretty flower.
