ever been to the Saleplace in Balch Springs--just south of Mesquite? My friend and I are going to make a run up there on Saturday to see the merchandise. The ad states "Largest selection of Wedding products-Anywhere". Says it has cake supplies. Just wondering if it will be worth the trip?

Oh well, a trip to Dallas is always worth the effort.

Welcome-I'm in downtown Dallas! I've never heard of this place but it sounds interesting. I go to Cake Carousel in Richardson most of the time-they're small, but they have LOTS of hard to find luster dusts and carry a wide variety of Loran Oils, in addition to having classes.

I have been to both places, even took some classes at Cake Carousel. The Sale Place has alot more than say Michaels has. They have a great selection of tips, just write down the ones you want because they are all in trays and they don't show what they do. I would say it is worth the trip for sure just try and take someone with you because it is not in the best part of town. They even had a sign on the door that said no large purses! They also have a huge selection of mum stuff if you have high school age kids. Someone told me there was also a cake store in Terrell, but I have not found it yet.

Cake Carousel and The Sell Place rock ! I live in Forney and go to both places. I'm about 10 min from Terrell and haven't heard of anything in there but I'm sure gonna look into it.

Anyone know where to buy the plastic sleeves of filling , somewhere around town ?

Sale Place is really good for boxes, wedding supplies and tips but not so great for extras like dusts, and Americolor. They have a lot of pans and tons of the plastic decs for cakes. They also carry different colors of candy melts (more than Michaels and stuff).

Yeah, Cake Carousel doesn't carry the sleeves.
Do all those listings have good supplies? Anyone know?
