i just received a large cupcake order (7 dozen), i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a box with like some sort of cupcake holder insert. something large that'll hold a dozen or so per box. the customer has to travel an hour and wants them very sturdy for the drive. thanks!

I know that Wilton makes some stuff. I bought my cake holder at Target.

Large pizza boxes work great for transporting lots of cupcakes. I had to transport 300 once and they worked like a charm. Good Luck!

You can buy cupcake inserts that are pretty cheap ($0.99, holds 12). The liners are designed to fit in cake boxes, and are just thin plastic sheets with depressions for the cupcakes.

Our local supermarket, Save-Mart, will sell the clear ones that snap shut for .50 a piece. I just asked the bakery. I wanted to make cupcakes for my daughters class and the teacher said they had to be store bought but knows I am a mad baker icon_lol.gif so she told me to just make them and bring them in that.....a total cheat but since she said it was ok, I did. Saved me $20...and tasted alot better!

Wow, cakediva...the supermarket and bakery in my town both looked at me like I just grew a 3rd head when I asked to buy a cake box and then very rudely refused! rolling eyes and everything! I've been buying boxes at Hobby Lobby lately.

If you are pressed for time any Michael's or Hobby Lobby has those bakery boxes that are large enough to fit 3 dozen. Might be a little expensive but, if you don't have a lot of time. You can also buy any pizza boxes OR retail stores have boxes. Just have to ask!
Good luck with your order! thumbs_up.gif
